CPR Life Saving Award
The REMSCO is pleased to continue its tradition of recognizing EMS providers and agencies for their efforts when lives are saved due to CPR/AED and continued basic life support or advanced life support out of hospital care.
The REMSCO has acknowledged over thirty (30) saves over the past two (2) years. In order to receive the award the patient must survive discharge from the hospital neurologically intact.
If you have a case with pre-hospital return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) or any other in formation where you believe a patient may be saved, consideration for acknowledgement starts with filling out the form below and emailing it to William Michael Masterton. Submit a brief summary of the call and the names of the crew members participating in the resuscitation. In some cases the hospital may report a field save to Suffolk County EMS. Either way, upon confirmation of survival to discharge neurologically intact, a message will be sent acknowledging the award and announcing the date of the next REMSCO meeting where the award will be presented. Thank you for all the good work you do.
