Community Narcan & CPR Training
Sunday, December 2, 2018 - 9am-12noon
On Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 9:00am to 12:00noon the Community Ambulance Company partnering with Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay will be offering a free training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose by using intra-nasal Naloxone (Narcan) and hands only CPR. Narcan is a prescription medication that is used to reverse an opioid overdose. Unfortunately, the opiate drug problem has been increasing in recent years, and having this training can potentially save someone’s life. In addition, we will be providing training in hands-only CPR.
Community Ambulance Company is a New York State Department of Health certified Opioid Overdose Prevention Program.
The Narcan demonstration, lecture, hands on training and hands only CPR class will be held at the Community Ambulance Company, 420 Lakeland Avenue in Sayville, second floor meeting room.
* Each participant registered will be provided with a take home Narcan kit.
* Light Breakfast will be served
