Free Car Seat Inspection & Shed the Meds
Date: Saturday, July 11, 2020 - 9 am-1 pm
The Community Ambulance Company is partnering with New York State Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency DECON Services Corp to provide FREE Car Seat Inspections, Vehicle Decontamination and Shed the Meds.
Car Seat Inspection / Vehicle Decontamination:
Due to prior years popularity with car seat inspections as well as to maintain social distancing only 3 vehicles every 30 minutes can be inspected / decontaminated for a total of 24 vehicles during this event. In order to have your car seat inspected and decontaminated you must RSVP by clicking HERE. Prior to the car seat being inspected by a Suffolk Deputy Sheriff your vehicle will be decontaminated by Emergency DECON Services for safety precautions.
Prescription Drug Take Back (Shed the Meds)
A box will be located outside where the public can drop off unused medications. This program aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. There is no registration required to drop off medications only.
The event will be held outside, everyone must arrive wearing a mask / face covering and practice social distancing. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or feeling sick we ask that you do not attend this program.
Any questions or for further information please email Jamie.Atkinson@communityamb.org. A Facebook event page was created and can be viewed by clicking HERE. Feel free to share the attached flyer and Facebook Event on social media and disseminate.
