A Message from Health Commissioner Dr. James Tomarken
On behalf of the Department of Health Services’ Division of EMS, I write to you today to formally announce that Division Director Bob Delagi and Deputy Chief Karl Klug are retiring from county service, effective December 27, 2018. With a combined 45-plus years of service to the County and to the EMS profession, they will be missed. Throughout their careers, Bob, Karl, and the entire EMS Division Staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that EMS is fully integrated with other key stakeholders in Healthcare Emergency Preparedness, and that our volunteer and career EMS providers and agency leaders had unrestricted access to their time, talents, dedication, and assistance in managing ambulance services. For that, I sincerely thank them for their service. With my full support, I am pleased to announce that Mr. Robert Bancroft (firstname.lastname@example.org) has been hired to fill the vacancy that will be created by Karl’s departure, and Mr. Nathaniel Bialek (email@example.com) has been hired to fill the vacancy that will be created by Bob’s departure. Each brings a high level of enthusiasm along with their respective unique skill set to the Division, and I am sure that they will carry on in the spirit and tradition exemplified by Bob, Karl, and the EMS Division Staff. Please join me in welcoming Robert and Nathaniel to the Health Department and the EMS Division as we look forward to working with them in continuing the high quality work of the Division.
