Suffolk County Celebrates EMS Week 2009
Published Wednesday, May 20, 2009 11:00 pm
by William Masterton

In recognition of National EMS Week 2009, the H. Lee Dennison Building, which represents the seat of Suffolk County government and home to the Suffolk County Department of Health’s EMS Division offices and Training Academy, is illuminated in blue. Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy expresses his sincere gratitude for the tremendous efforts of the county’s EMS providers in this glowing tribute, in the color that symbolizes the emergency medical services profession. This year’s National EMS Week theme – " A proud partner in your community" – has been chosen to recognize the commitment that emergency medical services personnel make to the communities they serve around the clock, across the nation. In Suffolk County , we are truly appreciative of the contributions made by members of your organization in furtherance of quality emergency medical care, and for all that your agency does as a member of our county’s health care infrastructure.
