EMS Division staff have received several questions in the recent past regarding the requirements for sending in” procedures” audit tools and / or making post-even telephone calls to Suffolk County Medical Control, for recordkeeping and Quality Improvement purposes. This is in reference to specific procedural interventions requiring such reporting. The collection of information such as this is essential in assuring that our providers are using the tools and skills that truly make a difference, and that our patients are receiving the optimum care.
