Electronic PCR Update – The NY State and Suffolk County Update
As of today, fifty-four (54) ambulance services in the County are either using, or are in transition and training to use, an electronic patient record. This represents significant progress in the transition from paper to electronic. In effort to continue facilitating this transition, and to offer ongoing technical support to ambulance services in the Suffolk Region, Mr. Peter Brodie, the EMS Data Coordinator from the NY State Bureau of EMS will he here in Suffolk County on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 to provide two (2) informational sessions on getting the most out of the electronic format, and to provide an update to the NY State EMS ImageTrend Data repository regarding data submissions and accessing agency specific data through the data bridge. These sessions are designed to cover ePCR Data Definitions and Values, Agency and Regional Activities with ePCR data, NYS Activities with ePCR data, and the transition to NEMSIS 3.4.0. For your convenience, we are offering a daytime and an evening session to afford most opportunity to attend. The first session will run from 10:00 AM – 12 noon and the same session will be repeated from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
