The Deputy Chief of Education and Training assists staff with the coordinating and conducting of emergency medical training programs, instructor development programs, continuing medical education programs and quality assurance initiatives.
The CISD/TC Coordinator serves as the Team Leader interface between the Critical Incident Stress Management Team and the health professionals that comprise the Team. Recognizing that Critical Incident Stress plays an integral role in the overall health of the emergency services provider, the CISM Team stands ready to respond at the request of a Chief officer or an individual that needs professional intervention. Additionally, all aspects of the EMS Division's role as an American Heart Association Training Center is coordinated by the TC Coordinator. All Public Access Defibrillation programs are coordinated by the TC Coordinator. All BLS-CPR, ACLS and PALS course class announcements, registrations, staffing, resource and location requirements and textbook distribution is coordinated by the TC Coordinator. Additionally, non-core educational programs such as PEPP, Geriatrics (GEMS), PHTLS and other stand-alone courses are coordinated by the TC Coordinator.
