The Deputy Chief of Operations provides specialized training courses focused on Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting Requirements, Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness, START Triage and Mass Casualty Incident Management are conducted by the Ambulance Services Consultant. All NYS-DOH Part 80 Controlled Substances applications for participating EMS agencies are prepared and reviewed for submission to the State, as well as post-license in-service for the Controlled Substance Agency by the Ambulance Services Consultant.  The Deputy Chief of Operations also assists the Chief of Operations in coordination of EMS responsibilities regarding large-scale incidents, liaison to local emergency planning commission and office of emergency management.  Assists the Chief of Operations with Part 18 Public Gathering and Public Functions.
